Southern California Basketball Hall of Fame
The Southern California Basketball Hall of Fame (SoCalBBHOF) honors legendary local basketball players & coaches while supporting youth playing through charity donations. The nonprofit organization is based in Los Angeles, CA.
NAISMITH HOFER PAUL PIERCE, COLLEGE HOFER DAVID GREENWOOD HEADLINE 2022 SO. CALIF BB HOF FINALISTS
Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame selection Paul Pierce from Inglewood HS and Kansas (2021) and College Basketball Hall of Fame pick David Greenwood from Verbum Dei HS and UCLA (2021) headline the 25 finalists for the 2022 Southern California Basketball Hall of Fame. The 2020 and 2021 selections will be honored on Sunday night, May 21, 2023 at the Highway 39 Events Center in Anaheim.
Coaching greats Bill Armstrong (Compton HS, Palm Springs HS), Bob Boyd (USC), Lorenzo Romar (St. Louis, Washington, Pepperdine), Jerry Tarkanian (Riverside-Pasadena JC, Long Beach State, UNLV), and Willie West Jr. (Crenshaw HS) are also finalists for 2022.
Other finalists include college and WNBA standouts Nicole Erickson (Brea-Olinda, Duke), Ebony Hoffman (Narbonne, USC), Regina Miller (Crenshaw, Cal State Fullerton), Candice Wiggins (La Jolla Country Day, Stanford), and Sa’de Wiley-Gatewood (Lynwood, Tennessee/Maryland).
More playing finalists include Stacey Augman (Muir, UNLV), ESPN announcer Jay Bilas (Rollings Hills, Duke), John Block (Glendale, USC), Mitchell Butler (Oakwood, UCLA), Michael Cooper (Pasadena, Pasadena CC, New Mexico), Keith Erickson (El Segundo, El Camino CC, UCLA), Bill Laimbeer (Palos Verdes, Notre Dame), Andre Miller (Verbum Dei, Utah), Willie Naulls (San Pedro, UCLA), Dwayne Polee Sr. (Manual Arts, UNLV, Pepperdine), Tayshaun Prince (Dominguez, Kentucky), Curtis Rowe (Fremont, UCLA), and Keith Van Horn (Diamond Bar, Utah).
