
Roy Hamilton, 2024
Roy was one of the finestĀ high school point guards of all-time, leading Verbum Dei to two CIF title teams and was a first team Parade All-American, playing with SCBBHOFer David Greenwood, who became his teammate at UCLA when the two-some were one of the first to ever announce their college selection on live television. Hamilton went onto an outstanding college career as a three-time All-Conference Player and All-American as a senior leading the Bruins to the NCAA Tournament, including a Final Four.
He then became a first round (10th overall) pick of the Detroit Pistons. He was the key HS and college facilitator, and is among the all-time college record holders in assists. After three years in the NBA, the 6-2 Hamiton went into a broadcaster career at UCLA and then CBS. He then moved to Fox Sports and became one of first African-American executives, working as the Vice-President/Coordinating Producer, including many years running the NCAA Basketball Tournament. Today, Hamilton is a six-time Emmy award winning multimedia executive and President/CEO of RLH Entertainment LLC.
