Olympia Scott Richardson, 2027

Olympia was a two-time CIF Player of the Year at St. Bernard’s HS in the South Bay, leading her school to its first two California State Championships as a junior and senior. The 6-2 Scott was both a Kodak and Parade HS All-American, and the youngest player invited to the 1994 Olympic Sports Festival. She selected Stanford where she was a two-time first team All-Pac-10 selection in helping the Cardinal to three NCAA Final Four appearances in four seasons, plus won four Pac-10 titles. Internationally, she won bronze at the 1995 Jones Cup and a gold medal at the 1997 World University Games. She was a second-round WNBA pick by Utah. She played 10 seasons (Utah, Detroit, Indiana, Charlotte, Sacramento, Phoenix) with her greatest success coming in 2001 and 2002 with Indiana while serving as team captain. She had major knee surgery but came back to play. She was the first WNBA player to ever be part of two title teams in two different cities (Sacramento in 2005 and Phoenix in 2007). She also played professionally overseas. During her career, she became head coach at William Smith College in 2004, guiding her team to the NCAA Division III semi-finals. She left to concentrate on WNBA basketball. She and her mother run an educational company, Super Parenting LLC.
