
Jody Anton Wynn, 2024
Jody was a four-year standout at Brea-Olinda HS with a 129-6 record, winning three straight California State Titles and won CIF and Orange County Player of the Year honors in 1991 and 1992, plus ‘Los Angeles Times’ Player of the Year as a senior. She was a Honorable Mention HS All-American as both a junior and senior. The 5-11 Anton made three NCAA appearances in four years at USC as a part-time starter who had to overcome ankle surgery as a senior.
She went into coaching as assistant at both Pepperdine and USC. She was head coach for eight years at Long Beach State, winning one Big West Title and having three WNIT appearances, and four-years at the University of Washington through 2021, winning over 150 games. She was Asst. women’s HS coach at Mater Dei and became head coach for 2024-25, replacing SCBBHOFer Kevin Kiernan. Wynn’s husband, Derek, is an assistant coach with the UC Irvine women, her oldest daughter, Jada, plays at Texas Tech, while she coaches her other daughter Kaeli at Mater Dei. Wynn has a Master’s Degree from Pepperdine.
