
Elden Campbell, 2025
The 6-11 Campbell was an All-CIF player at Morningside HS in Inglewood, who started on a team that won the CIF 3A title in 1985 over Bonita, where he was dominating at both ends of the court. He accepted a Clemson scholarship where he averaged 15 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks per game, was a three-time All-ACC team selection, made numerous HM All-American squads, and led his team to the NCAA ‘Sweet 16.’ He finished as the all-time leading Clemson scorer, and was second in blocked shots. He left as the winningest player in school history with 84 wins, and the only regular season ACC title in school history.
He returned home when he was the first round draft pick of the Los Angeles Lakers in 1990, where he played the first nine years of his 15-year NBA career. He won an NBA title in 2004 with the Detroit Pistons. He played in over 1000 games in his career scoring over 10,000 points, averaging 10 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks per game. He was inducted into the Clemson Hall of Fame in 2000.
