Adam Keefe

Adam was a standout All-CIF player at Woodbridge High School in Irvine and a Parade All-American. He led them to their first CIF and State Title in 1987, averaging 22 points and 12 rebounds per game. He went to Stanford on basketball scholarship and also played volleyball with his 6-9 frame. He was an All-American as a senior, finishing with three All-Pac-10 honors, plus finished in the top five all-time in the Pac-10 scoring and rebounding. As a senior he averaged 25 points and 12 rebounds a game. He won a bronze medal representing the USA in the 1991 Pan-American Games.

He was a first round NBA draft pick of the Atlanta Hawks (#10 overall) and played 11 years as a professional, mostly with the Utah Jazz. He played his final two years in Europe, and won a championship in 2002 in Madrid. He has been inducted into the Woodbridge (first person) and Stanford Athletics Halls of Fame.  He had twin daughters win NCAA titles in women’s volleyball at Stanford plus a son that played basketball there, and youngest daughter played volleyball at Duke. His wife, Kristin Klein Keefe is in the SoCal Indoor Volleyball Hall of Fame
