Andre Miller, 2022
Andre was an All-CIF and Player of the Year at Verbum Dei HS where he averaged 24 points and 7 rebounds per game. He then became a four-year starting point guard at Utah where led the team to the NCAA finals in 1998. Utah upset Arizona in the Regional Finals when Miller established himself nationally with 18 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists. He was a two-time College All-American, the WAC Player of the Year, and had his #24 jersey retired. Utah went 114-20, .851 winning percentage, with the 6-3 Miller at point guard.
He won gold medals in the 1998 Goodwill Games and with the USA National Team in 2001. He was the NBA draft first-round 8th overall lottery pick by Cleveland, and had a 17-year professional career, including playing for the Los Angeles Clippers. His NBA honors included making the NBA All-Rookie Team, leading the league in assists, and missing only three games in his career. He is the only player in NBA history to have at least 16,000 career points, 8,000 assists, and 1,500 steals without making an NBA All-Star Game. Miller was the Head Coach of San Diego’s post-HS graduate Balboa School program from 2020 until moving to the ‘G’ League as head coach of the Grand Rapids team in fall of 2022 for the Denver Nuggets organization.
